I am guessing that a set of metal or plastic spheres with ±0.05mm diameter tolerances on the diameters is not something that can be manufactured at reasonable price, though Google has swiftly pointed me at the Precision Plastic Ball Company of 70 Main Street, Addingham, West Yorkshire

Pretty! I also made a WebGL thing the other week, as it happens. (On a theme you might remember from a few years ago, in fact – it came up again on Mastodon.)

Yours looks like more actual WebGL than mine, though! Mine was "simplest polygon setup to just let me plot pixels", followed by "language-independent nonsense to fake recursion when not allowed to do it explicitly".
