I have done something slightly odd with the scaling which I hope makes the small versions look particularly good on Retina displays. The top is the view south from the first major pass on the M41 road out of Bishkek - the thing with red roofs in the far right is a ski resort and you can just see a chair-lift on one of the row of pylons coming down from it. The bottom is one of the passes on the road from Kazarman to Naryn.

If you don't mind a random stranger popping in, I thought I'd just note my appreciation of both good photography and a view of a place I've never witnessed in person, and may well never do, given what a huge world it is, and I have so much yet undiscovered.

What brought you out to Kyrgyzstan? It must be said, it's not a name that's often found in Thomas Cook's repertoire. =:) Even on TV, very little is seen - one of the few instances I can recall, in fact, was the notable BBC Four production from "Holidays in the Danger Zone", Meet the Stans (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00cl591).
