Tapioca, rice pudding, semolina and custard are all good, in different ways.

Oh and I love the fact American schoolchildren apparently have a different nickname for it than British schoolchildren do!

I may have just added a tin to my next grocery order. I've no idea if the tinned stuff is any good mind.

I'm afraid the Ambrosia tinned stuff has very slimy-all-the-way-through globules; they've over-cooked it.

(I made the poll after having a bowl of calming tinned tapioca and being disappointed by the texture)

I count myself as a rare tapioca moderate. I don't seek it out, but I'm not repulsed by it as my dear wife is.

The "solid suspended in liquid/semisolid" texture seems to polarize people.

But bubble tea better.

Bubble tea is, indeed, among the better beverages yet invented.

I admit that I once had disappointing bubble tea: it was at a cafe in Lubeck which I suspect had heard of bubble-tea only vaguely and third-hand and was the only place in Lubeck willing to try making it, and they had neglected to pre-cook the tapioca. One of the few restaurant drinks I've had to abandon ...

but you need the right straws!
