Tapioca, rice pudding, semolina and custard are all good, in different ways.
Oh and I love the fact American schoolchildren apparently have a different nickname for it than British schoolchildren do!

I count myself as a rare tapioca moderate. I don't seek it out, but I'm not repulsed by it as my dear wife is.
The "solid suspended in liquid/semisolid" texture seems to polarize people.
