Having some left-over custard and what approaches a surfeit of kiwi-fruit, I tried putting a coarsely-chopped kiwi fruit in the custard and microwaving the whole. I can't say it was a glorious success (I should have used a banana), but it reminded me remarkably of stewed rhubarb.
So: does it make sense to make a kiwi-fruit crumble? It feels somehow extravagent, though Tesco claim the fruit are 99p for nine, and eighteen would make a large crumble.
