I huddle over my PC for warmth. Really! I can rest my legs on the case and dangle my toes over the lovely jet of warm air which comes out the back :-)

Wearing all those things up to and including the hat is fine (in fact I was wearing a woolly hat indoors just the other day); but I'd draw the line at gloves, because they make it impossible to do the things I generally do inside; that is, typing, cooking, cleaning, and making things. If I was just sitting about doing nothing with my hands then gloves would probably be acceptable, but I'm not in that situation very often.

Fingerless gloves! :-)

They don't really work for me; they still get wet, and things still get caught in them. I kind of like these, though again I wouldn't want to have to wear them around the house.

I like to be able to go naked indoors even in January, but it's not a realistic expectation in a New York winter, alas, even with double-glazing.

If you're deliberately trying to cut back on energy usage then wearing a fleece doesn't seem like much of an hardship.

It's partly cutting back on energy usage; it's partly trying to get myself back onto a saner sleep cycle and finding that it's easier to convince myself into a nice warm bed from a cold house than from a warm one [of course, from warm bed to cold morning house requires all my very limited stock of will-power]

I suppose I should have added slippers as an option; cold toes were what immediately prompted this poll.

I would happily wear gloves and a hat myself, but I know I would upset my live-ins to suggest it, and I'd feel mean making guests do that. That said, if you've got enough guests, the house warms up nicely... and a frozen noble gas mosaic sounds rather interesting :-)

This is why I'm spending the winter in California.

The house where I do gaming is so cold I keep on my fleece and stick my hands up its sleeves to keep warm. John wanders around in a polo shirt, claiming to be a polar bear.

Its' 35 degrees here Real Units (Celcius).

Yeah, fsck, I recently aquired me an evaporative air cooler. Doesn't really do anything...

Maybe I should just emigrate twice a year. Ruskia in South Summer, and Tasmania in South Winter.
