Touchingly unacquainted with the conventions of commerce

Does anyone want to buy my last-but-three digital camera?

It's quite nice and chunky and child-proof, and the sort of thing I'd have been ecstatic to have when I was seven.

And I've had fun writing the description on ebay:

In the unlikely event I win, I wonder if we could arrange for you to drop the camera off with, eg, [livejournal.com profile] groliffe or someone else in Cambridge who we regularly see?

I don't think I know [livejournal.com profile] groliffe, but I'm sure you can provide an adequate introduction and an address; or I'll hand it over to [livejournal.com profile] bugshaw.

I suspect posting it to the States is silly.

Postage as an airmailed small parcel is, to my surprise, £5.32 or just over ten dollars; I'm rather hoping the camera would go for £10 or so, so the postage would be perhaps imprudent, but not as obviously absurd as it is for, for example, posting second-hand paperbacks even within the UK.
