Milky Way - the centre of the galaxy is roughly behind the dust-cloud just over the hills 3/4 of the way across the image. Taken from Tash Rabat, from which the Milky Way was visible across the sky after 30 seconds of dark adaption.

Took me a few minutes to figure out the star patterns. The teapot of Sagittarius is at the bottom, slightly to the right of center. The top of the photo, within the band of the Milky Way, is Aquila. The bright star Altair is just beyond the top of the photo.

As I rather incompetently just posted anonymously due to not paying attention, it looks rather like that from here in deepest darkest Cornwall, too :)
