Mr Womack goes on his travels
Nov. 3rd, 2005 01:45 pmI have packed a 55-litre and a 15-litre rucksack, until both bulge; suntan lotion, insect repellent, anti-malarial tablets, spare Ventolin inhaler, shorts, trousers, shampoo, washing lotion, passports, plane ticket, guide to the sights of Taiwan, waterproof, alarm clock, underwear, tops (long-sleeved), tops (short-sleeved) and an amazingly fully-featured first-aid kit packed by Mum.
Tomorrow I take the 0540 to KX, thence to Heathrow, then the 0945 to Frankfurt and the 1330 to Delhi.
Today, I'm going to go and see Curse of the Were-Rabbit, thus assuring that the flight to Delhi will have as available entertainment Curse of the Were-Rabbit and four Bollywood romances in undubbed Urdu. Then to the Carlton this evening, for tasty food and goodbyes.
If you want a postcard from Tom's travels, leave your name and address in the comments.
If you want a 'where's Tom now' Google Maps hack, on which a small red push-pin indicates an estimate of my current location, http://www.dracos.co.uk/tomstravels is the web-site for you. Matthew Somerville is truly a wonderful person.
