Anyone interested in seeing Holmes with me on Friday?

I'm hearing mostly rather good reports about this film, but mostly from people on Usenet whose taste in films I don't quite trust; on the whole, I think it'll be worth an evening and £7.30 to check it out.

Would anyone be interested in the 2030 showing at the Vue (Grafton Centre) on Friday?

It is "Sherlock Holmes: The Action Movie!!" and everything you might expect from that. But if you are looking for light entertainment, preposterous in places, then it might fit the bill.

My three-word review: dumb but fun.

I liked it more than your two correspondents above. Once you've made allowances for the different medium, and a hundred and twenty years, it seemed mostly very true to Conan Doyle's original characters and narrative method. With steampunk trappings.

Oh, I'd like to see it, but am busy fri.

It could be fun, and I don't think I'm doing anything on Friday evening, so count me as a probably.

I am in bed today with a nasty cold, and would rather not give it to everyone in the cinema. I hope you enjoy the film if you go to it.

Hmmm, I might give it a miss in that case - thanks for letting me know.

It was very enjoyable and I think worth seeing. Unfortunately I won't be able to come with you on Friday, but I hope you have a great time!
