Nice weekend

Had a good trip to Oxford this weekend, meeting friends new and old (all hail hsaneg! saffie1981, all hail!), and eating a couple of good meals (I recommend the Fox Inn, off the A40 about 20 miles outside Cheltenham). Got trapped in a corner by a drunk at the Far from the Madding Crowd, who seemed personally affronted (thankfully not violently so) that I left without telling him the meaning of the universe. Am I the only person of my acquaintance who finds sesame seeds unpleasantly bitter, and cannot stand tahini or sesame oil?

I've now completed all four end-games for Deus Ex 2, and stuck it on ebay (seller id fivemack); I recommend it strongly to anyone with a reasonably shiny computer, it needs pixel-shaders so you probably want a video card at most thirty months old. I think the original Deus Ex took me a good deal longer to complete - the sound of machine-gun fire echoed through my living room in Nottingham for weeks - but this one was respectably intense, and generally good fun.
