2* Michelin - Michel Rostang, Eyvind Hellstrom (Bagatelle, Oslo), Anton Mosimann
1* Michelin - David Thompson (Nahm, London)
Other - Normand Laprise (Toque, Montreal), Ian Chalermkittichai, Rene Balmer, Stephen Dion, Otto Jurscha, Michele dell'Aquila.
It would appear, since that's 19 stars, that the propagandising of the stellar qualities of this event was enough to stop me from counting properly.
The utterly crazy event (three hundred pounds a plate!), on Wednesday, was Westermann, Winkler, Mosimann and Laprise working together for what appears to be an eleven-course meal (http://www.epicureanmasters.com/web14/pdf/gala_dinner_1_16_november.pdf).
I join my tour-group tomorrow, and suspect I'll probably spend less on meals in my next week in Thailand than I did today ... a standard restaurant main course with a couple of non-alcoholic drinks is about four pounds.
