I'm not by temperament a lounger on beaches.
Today, it's raining; the satellite shows a nice normal-distribution-shaped blob of rain of the most vigorous kind centred over where I'm sitting. Not cold rain: it would be paradisaical for England in November, but not so here.
I think this is the kind of day that I should get stuck into reading A Suitable Boy. We had an island-hopping snorkelling trip arranged; that's postponed to tomorrow in the hope that it's dry by then.
Staying out in the middle of nowhere, in regions with either no infrastructure, or infrastructure half devoted to pampering and half devoted to fleecing the visiting farang, reminds me how much I like real rich-world cities. I'm at a beach resort; ich wurde lieber in Munchen.
